Kopari Coconut Cleansing Oil - Vegan Review - A Blog About Stuff

Price: (5.1 oz/ 150 mL) $42 CAD

Initial Reaction: The first time I purchased Kopari’s Coconut Cleansing Oil was in a kit sold at Sephora. I think that’s where I was first introduced to my fav lip balm by them & their Rose Toner (also love). I remember initially liking how the cleanser removed all of my makeup (eye makeup & mascara included) but I felt like it left a bit of an oily residue. That’s when I realized that this cleansing oil (most oils really) is best paired with some sort of cloth, aka. Makeup Eraser Cloths. So initially I liked it but it took me some time to fine tune the process.

Usage: The last bottle I purchased was in Dec. 2019 & I still have a ton left. Granted, this year has been the year of makeup free faces & staying home, so I haven’t had to use it as often but I still tend to use it nightly. So we’re going on to 7 months of use. That works out to like $6 a month (not bad at all).

I also like to keep the smaller travel size bottles & refill them with the larger one for things like travelling or even to have a small bottle in the shower.

Skin Concerns: (My skin has improved a lot over the past year so my regular concerns are kind of changing, not mad at it either haha)

– dry skin

– aging/wrinkles/fine lines

– occasional pimple/breakout

– pore size

Claims: “Our antioxidant rich coconut oil based cleanser dissolves impurities, removes makeup and hydrates skin without stripping skin of its natural moisture.

Results:  It really takes every bit of makeup off, it doesn’t sting your eyes like Micellar Waters can & it doesn’t require a bunch of scrubbing or pulling at your gentle eye area. I simply wet my face, put a few squirts of the Kopari Coconut Cleansing Oil into my hand, rub my hands together & then rub/wash all over my face. I gently rub around my eyes & wash my lashes. Sometimes I add a little more water to my face to lather the oil up a bit. Then when I’m done I use warm water on my Makeup Eraser Cloth, gently wring it out, hold the cloth to my face (especially the eye area), and then I give a gentle wipe all over my face making sure I remove the cleansing oil & makeup residue. It’s literally my perfect combo!

Final Thoughts: I love this cleansing oil. I’ve tried other cleansing oils but what makes the Kopari Cleansing oil special is that it’s not hard or solid. I really love that it’s a liquid cleansing oil & you don’t have to work the product into your skin to warm it up. It kind of just does it for you as you’re washing your face.

Will I Re-purchase? Yup, it’s one of my staples now!
