Vegan Travel - Paris Edition - A Blog About Stuff - Paris Restaurants

I had always wanted to visit Paris for as long as I can remember. Up until last spring I just wasn’t able to find the time to make my way to the city of romance. Fortunately my husband was travelling Europe for work & I was able to meet him in London, then we made our way to Paris & then to Amsterdam. We spent 4 nights in Paris & while I was still quite jet-lagged we managed to pack in a ton of adventures & we were able to visit some incredible vegan restaurants.

*One thing I want to share (completely un-restaurant related haha), but I had always wanted to see the Church of Notre Dame & guess what, it burnt down literally days before my departure. I was so sad. K that’s it, back to the food.*

So, that being said, My Top Vegan Restaurants in Paris

Cloud-Cakes-Vegan-Travel-Paris-Edition-A-Blog-About-Stuff-Vegan-Restaurant

1. Cloud Cakes – 6 rue Mandar, 75002 Paris

Atmosphere: This place is adorable. It’s a bright, cozy, little café & in-house bakery. There’s a decent amount of seating for a small Parisian coffee shop, but it’s quite busy so you might have to wait for a seat, or you can do grab-n-go. It smells like fresh baked goods & coffee, so pretty much exactly how you’d imagine Paris to smell, hah.

The Food: So delicious. I kid you not, I ate 3 croissants in one go because they were so freaken fresh & tasty. They’re perfectly crispy on the outside while being incredibly moist & soft on the inside. I also tried a lemon tart & a piece of pie, all so yummy.

Overall Rating: 5/5 – Next time I would love to try something from their menu.

Get The: Croissants, you will not be disappointed, I promise.

Hot Vog - Vegan Travel - Paris Edition - A Blog About Stuff- Vegan Restaurant

2. Hot Vog – 10 bis rue Vavin – 75006 Paris

Atmosphere: An adorable little hole in the wall, haha. It’s like a tiny sandwich shop but for vegan hot dogs. There’s a little high top bar wall to eat on or 1 little patio set out front. It’s really more of a grab-n-go spot to be honest. It’s street food!

The Food: Think big New York style hot dogs & pops but ALL VEGAN!!!

Overall Rating: 5/5 – these bad boys did not disappoint.

Get The: Best Seller Hot Dog – candied onions, I’m drooling

Le Potager du Marais Paris - Vegan Travel - Paris Edition - A Blog About Stuff - Vegan Restaurant

3. Le Potager du Marais26 rue Saint Paul 75004 Paris

Atmosphere: According to their website they have just recently moved locations so I can’t really say what this new location is like but I can share that previously, it was a jam packed French delight! It was like dining at an older French woman’s home; cozy, aromatic, & completely adorable.

The Food: Deadly!!! It’s not everyday you get to have traditional French cuisine vegan style. Nearly every French dish contains some sort of dairy so this place was an incredible treat! We ordered the French Onion soup (unreal), Roast potato with olive tapenade (if you love olives this ones for you), Rolled lupine bean roast with spinach and mushrooms (think French stuffed pastry), & last but not least, Spinach-walnut lasagna with melted vegan cheese (when is lasagna not delicious).

Overall Rating: 5/5 – An entirely authentic vegan French Restaurant, we are not worthy (but actually we need more of this – also, to mention, they shop organic & fair-trade)

Get The: French Onion Soup – The photo above doesn’t even do it justice. Those massive cubes are melty, crusty, vegan cheese & it’s seriously out of this world!

Hank Burger - Vegan Travel - Paris Edition - A Blog About Stuff - Vegan Restaurants

4. Hank Burger8 rue de Rochechouart, Paris 75009 & 55 rue des Archives, Paris 75003

Atmosphere: This place is cool. The location we went to was surprisingly quite large with ample seating. The décor is industrial & masculine; like I could totally see an axe-throwing competition going on there, haha. You order at the front, take your seat & pickup up your tray of food from the counter. Very laid back.

The Food: It’s a vegan burger joint, pretty hard to go wrong. They have a bunch of different menu options for different burger toppings, along with fries, nuggets, & desserts. I’m pretty basic when it comes to food so I got La Catcheuse (Sweet and creamy mustard sauce with the really rare and powerful Alfalfa) & it definitely hit the spot. They also have Hank Pizza but due to our limited time in Paris we were unable to give it a try – next time.

Overall Rating: 4/5 – They’re not the absolute best vegan burgers but they’re bomb.

Get The: La Catcheuse – I thought it was great. Captain Hank sounds pretty yummy too.

VegeBowl - Vegan Travel - Paris Edition - A Blog About Stuff - Vegan Restaurant

5. VegeBowl 22-24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin, 75010 Paris

Atmosphere: Their website says that they’re currently closed for renos which is great because the interior needed a little help. It wasn’t gross or anything like that it was just a bit awkward. Also, kind of dimly lit which made for awful food photos haha.

The Food: Thankfully the food is very tasty. The menu is 100% vegetarian & 90% vegan so keep an eye on the menu/legend to ensure you don’t accidentally order something non-vegan. The cuisine is a mix of Thai, Malaysian, & Chinese. We got the Grilled Chinese Dumplings (Homer Simpson drooling), Fried Chicken (yummy), Fried Noodles (I wanted to order seconds, haha), Plain Rice w. veggies, Vietnamese Fried Rice Noodles (delicious & saucy), & lastly, we got Tofu Pork w. black sauce & mushrooms (drool).

Overall Rating: 5/5 – I would have given them a 4 had I not read that they were doing renos, Good job Vegebowl!

Get The: Fried Dumplings & Fried Noodles

Janine Loves Sunday 2 - Vegan Travel - Paris Edition - A Blog About Stuff - Vegan Restaurant

6. Janine Loves Sunday (RIP) – This place no longer exists but I wanted to include it because the experience there was so fun & the Pizza was on another level.

Atmosphere: So busy & so fun. It’s Paris so you can pretty much still smoke anywhere but not indoors. They used to have a beautiful decent sized patio w. massive accordion doors that let the inside out. Unfortunately it also really let the smoke outside, in. Other than that, I loved sitting on that indoor/outdoor patio drinking & stuffing my face with pizza.

The Food: I think my hubby & I ordered their vegan pizzas like 3 times on our 4 night stay, haha. It was really that amazing. I am holding out hope that they’ll re-open one day (they may or may not have mentioned that on an old instagram post of mine *fingers crossed*). They also seem to have a restaurant in Lisbon under the same name/insta handle so…

Overall Rating: 5/5 – It really felt like I was in a cliché Parisian film, c’est parfait.

Get The:  I mean obviously you can’t order anything from a place that doesn’t exist but any of the pizzas were delicious, just look at the photos.
