Nurse Jamie Uplift Massaging Beauty Roller - Vegan Beauty Review - A Blog About Stuff

Price: $86 CAD

Initial Reaction: I have had the Nurse Jamie roller for YEARS now!!! I also had wanted it FOR freaken years, haha. When I wanted this roller it wasn’t readily available in Canada yet, so… I had to drive to the damn store in Santa Monica, CA! HAH! I also happened to already be in LA at the time so it worked out. Needless to say, I loved it right away.

Usage: Sadly, I have seen a ton of reviews on Sephora claiming that the little black stones have easily fallen off. In fact, I had a GF that bought hers from Nordstrom (or something like that), and she said that one of her stones had fallen off too. I think she just glued it back on and it was all good. Anyways, I’ve had mine for years, like I said, and none of the stones have fallen off. Maybe it’s because mine was purchased in her store and before they were being mass-produced? I’m not sure but because of that I can say I have had a decent amount of usage out of this Nurse Jamie Roller and still going…

Results: Again… I love this thing!!! I use it once a day in the mornings after I’ve applied my serums (some use it morning & night). I also like to keep it in my mini-beauty-fridge to keep the metal nice and cool. I roll it up & down on my cheeks and then back & forth. Than I roll it back and forth under my eyes. Moving down to my neck and “jowls”. I roll it along my jawline & down my lymph nodes (it feels amazing there). Then finally I roll it up & down my forehead and then back & forth. I find the coolness really helps to de-puff from a night of sleep. It helps soothe any inflammation or swelling and it feels great.

And I do find it helps set my serums in before I give my face a final moisturizer layer.

Final Thoughts: I think a main thing with a product like this is very subjective & to not expect instant results. I do think that depending on your level of puffiness or inflammation, you totally could see some minor instant results. But mostly, I think that this is the sort of tool that is meant to prevent & maintain over a long period of time.

I definitely notice a difference when I am using this consistently or when I skip a few (and a few more) days. And when I pick it back up, I can definitely see the uplifting results reemerge.

Will I Re-purchase? If this little guy were to ever break on me I would for sure re-purchase. Now that’s not to say you couldn’t get the same or similar results with a different but similar tool. I’m sure some of those Jade or Quartz rollers deliver the same results. I will say however, I have used a Jade roller & I much preferred the Nurse Jamie Roller. It just had a smoother glide.
