It can be hard to stay healthy and take care of yourself sometimes. I know when I’m working too much I often don’t get enough sleep & I certainly don’t get to eat the most nutritious foods either.
After many years of working in Film & TV the long hours can take a serious toll on your health. That is why I swear by these 4 vegan herbal medicinals from A. Vogel for boosting my immune system to prevent and fight any cold or virus that’s trying to get me down!
My Go-To Quad Pack:
- Echinaforce Extra (tablets or tincture)
- Vegan Vitamin D3
- Echinaforce Sore Throat Spray
- Echinaforce Hot Drink
Echinaforce Extra (tablets/tincture)
- Helps to support & maintain a healthy immune system
- Clinically proven to help prevent & relieve symptoms of Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTI – ie. common colds, the flu, COVID) & shortens URTI durations
- Safe for pregnant & breastfeeding women
- Grown in organic fields in Switzerland
- To PREVENT: take 1-2 tablets a day 15mins before meals or 30 drops in water 3x’s a day
- To FIGHT: take 3-4 tablets a day or 30 drops 5x’s a day
I have been taking Echinaforce Extra tincture for many many years now. I always put it in my sports/workout drink or in glasses of water. I swear by this product & I truly believe echinacea has been an immune boosting herb that has helped me fight off colds and flus when other people around me have been sick.
Vegan Vitamin D3
- Helps to support & maintain a healthy immune system
- Can help reduce your risks of Multiple Sclerosis, Heart Disease, & the flu
- Also known as the “Sunshine Vitamin”
- Helps in the development & maintenance of bones & teeth
- Helps in the absorption of calcium & phosphorus (which can help prevent Osteoporosis)
- TAKE: 1 tablet a day
Vitamin D has had a bit of a surge in popularity over the past year due to its immune boosting qualities and theories on COVID prevention. That is not to say that Vitamin D is some sort of miracle vitamin but it is another immune boosting step we can all take to help protect ourselves by living as healthy as possible.
Echinaforce Sore Throat Spray
- For painful inflammation & infections of the throat (Pharyngitis, Tonsillitis, general soreness & hoarseness)
- Also used to prevent & fight colds that start in the throat
This little spray is such an awesome tool! As mentioned in my video above, A. Vogel actually did a lab test in a petri dish with the COVID-19 virus & the sore throat spray and found that it killed the virus!
AGAIN, I am not saying that a petri lab test should be used to claim that this throat spray will prevent, kill, cure COVID. I am saying however, that this can be used as another extra step to help increase your chances or NOT getting the virus.
It would be smart to keep a bottle in your purse or car and whenever you’re going to be around a bunch of people (grocery store, work, etc), give your throat a couple of sprays before putting on your mask. It also acts as a nice little breath freshener too haha.
Bonus Tip: As mentioned briefly in the video, my husband really likes to use this to soothe his throat when he’s had an intense day of editing & smoking 1 too many joints 😹
Echinaforce Cold & Flu Hot Drink
- This drink mixture is a thick syrup that has all of the health benefits of echinacea but in a soothing hot drink formula (Think Neocitran but w/o the sugar or Tamiflu but w/o the side effects)
- Can also be used as a cold drink served with some bubbly water over ice, add some gin in there & feel even better haha
- Mix into juice & freeze into popsicle molds for a healthy kids snack in the summer time
- PREVENT: 5mL/1tsp 2x a day
- FIGHT: 5mL/1tsp 3-4x a day
The Hot Drink is actually quite tasty & soothing. I know sometimes I like to make bedtime elixirs to help me unwind before bed, this syrup has become a go-to of mine for that very reason. It just helps make me feel calm & ready to catch some Zzz’s.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I am an A. Vogel affiliate. A. Vogel sells a ton of other products on their website www.avogel.ca and I’ll showcase some of them in some other articles. I wanted to focus this article on products that I have been using for years because I truly believe in these 4 core immune boosting products. Nearly all of A. Vogel’s products are vegan except for a select few that contain honey.

Oh wow, I so need these immune boosters in my life. I get spring colds a lot.
Great info! Had not heard about this brand before. Thanks for sharing.
These are excellent for boosting the immune system, which is so crucial! I grow echinacea in my garden and use it for hot tea.
I love that. I need to try growing some too.
Sounds like great products!
I haven’t came across these brand/ vitamins. Im plantbased and I find these all interesting! Thanks fo sharing. I will have to check our local stores if they carry these.
Depending on where your located you might be able to find them on shelves, if not you can order them online.
Wonderful review of these products. I make my own organically and they certainly are effective!
That’s awesome. One of the things that I love about A. Vogel is that nearly all of their products are organic also.
I believe these types of supplements really do help in staying healthy. These look like good ones!
These look like great supplements for staying healthy. Thanks for the info.
That’s great to know. I’m using an all around vitamins for women but I want to check this out especially the Echinacea tables and the sore throat spray. I love your testimony about this product and that says something – being effective.
Multivitamins are great but I also enjoy adding some extra bonus helpers. I think you’d be pleased with them for sure. The sore throat spray is really great.
That sore throat spray would be wonderful for my daughter. She’s a musical theater major and is could use that soothing spray!
Oh yes, she would absolutely love it then, it has a nice tingling soothing effect.
These all sound awesome. I would never have thought vitamin D wasn’t naturally vegan until I went plant-based and started doing some research. And it’s so cool you’ve been using them for so long and experienced such impressive results!
I know right? So many strange supplements ingredients come from animals, why not just get it from the source? haha
Great tips! I have a Vitamin D spray, but it has fewer IUs, so this one looks great. I am also really interested in the echinacea drink. For some reason, echinacea tablets upset my stomach, but I wonder if this mode would help. I wish I lived in Canada to get the discount codes! Thanks for all the info.
K I feel the same way! I prefer the tincture over tablets because I get a little nauseous on the tabs. I don’t find the drink to make me feel that way at all either.
The only supplements I take are Vitamin D and fish oil (omega 3) on my doc’s advice. The fish oil resulted in an impressive drop in my triglycerides.
NutraVeg makes an amazing Vegan Omega 3 supplement. I love adding it to my morning smoothies. It’s awesome because it doesn’t give you the fishy smell or breath and it doesn’t hurt any animals either. If you ever try it I’d love to hear your thoughts on it
We have been using natural, herbal ways to boost our immunity for years. I am confident they work because we are very rarely sick.
100% Every little thing we can do to help keep ourselves healthy is so important. Good for you guys
Great information. Its always interesting to learn which supplements help with different issues or prevent issues.
I agree, I love learning about this kind of stuff. My mom works in supplements so I get to learn a lot from her too.
These sound like great products! Very timely offerings.
I love having a go-to combination for when I start to feel sick!
Game changer right? Especially if you can catch it right away.
I agree, these supplements are great for taking when you feel a cold coming on.
These all look like great products to try. Echinacea is one of my favorites plant remedies! Does the code work for shipping to the US as well?
I wish it did! That’s the one bummer, I wish I could offer the code to everyone!
Vitamin D3 is so important and it’s so easy to develop a deficiency, especially if you live in a colder climate.
Facts! I feel so much better when I’m taking my D3 especially in the winter.
So many good vegan health products!!
You had me at vitamin D3. Thanks for the immune boosting tips.
I love using natural boosters to help the immune system, so thanks for the recommendations! I’ve tried echinacea before, but not the others.
I’ve been using my own supplements too! But I’ll definitely take a look into these A Vogel products! 🙂
Good health is so important! Lots of great information.
I have never heard of this brand before and I am always looking for new companies that might be able to help with my MS.. thank you for sharing this! I will be checking this line out!
Happy to hear that, they have many other products online that might be able to help you.
Thanks! I’m always looking for more natural options! I currently take Echinacea to boost my immune system but not this brand.
Oh love that you’re already on the Echinacea wagon. If you ever try this brand I’d be curious to hear your comparison.
I have been taking vitamin D for a few years now, based on my doctor’s advice. I didn’t know there was a vegan version available!
They’re getting vegan versions for everything now
